Rain on the green grass,
And rain on the tree,
And the rain on the house-top,
But not upon me!

It is easy, isn’t it? Now you can ask yourself the following questions based on the poem above.

1. What is the poem about?

3. Can you imagine where you were when it was raining?

If you want to write another poem but it still has the same theme, you can ask further questions as follows.

5. Can you describe the road, river, rice field, village, and city when it rains?
6. What happens when the hard rain falls for the whole day every day?

Then, you can modify the poem above as you want. Your answers to the above questions can be a new poem. The new poem can be based on fact or your imagination.

Your new poem may be like this or you can have another one.
The Rain

Rain on the road

It rains everywhere

Now, try to write a poem yourself or with your friend next to you.
The poem is about The Rain again. Read the sentences in the box to guide you.
Or you may have another one.
